These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the LastHash website security platform available at https://www.lasthash.com. By creating an account or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use our services.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using LastHash, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age, have the legal authority to enter into these Terms, and agree to comply with all applicable laws and regulations. If you are using the platform on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

2. Description of Service

LastHash is a cloud-based Website Security and Hardening Platform. Our service includes automated security scanning, vulnerability detection, risk scoring, security reporting, and monitoring tools for websites and web applications. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time with reasonable notice.

3. Scan Authorization

This is a critical obligation. By submitting a website or domain for scanning through our platform, you represent and warrant that:

• You own the domain or have explicit written authorization from the domain owner to perform security scans
• You understand that unauthorized scanning of websites you do not own or control may violate applicable laws
• You will not use our platform to scan government, military, financial infrastructure, or any other restricted systems without authorization
• You accept full legal responsibility for any scans you initiate through our platform

LastHash performs passive, non-destructive security assessments. Our scans do not exploit vulnerabilities, inject payloads, or perform any destructive testing. However, you are responsible for ensuring all scans are authorized.

4. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree not to use our platform to:

• Scan websites you do not own or have authorization to scan
• Circumvent or attempt to bypass our rate limits or access controls
• Use automated tools to scrape or abuse our API
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or derive source code from our platform
• Use the platform for any illegal purpose or in violation of any law
• Introduce viruses, malware, or other harmful code
• Resell or sublicense access to the platform without written permission
• Impersonate any person or entity

Violation of this policy may result in immediate account suspension or termination.

5. Account Registration

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account. You agree to notify us immediately at support@lasthash.com if you suspect unauthorized use of your account. We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from unauthorized use of your account.

6. Subscriptions and Billing

Paid plans are billed on a monthly or annual basis as selected at checkout. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date. You may cancel at any time from your billing settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

All fees are non-refundable except as required by law or explicitly stated in our refund policy. Prices are subject to change with 30 days' notice.

7. Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality of the LastHash platform, including but not limited to the scanning engine, risk scoring algorithm, reports, and user interface, are owned by LastHash and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the platform without our express written permission.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The LastHash platform is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. Security scan results are provided for informational purposes only and do not constitute a guarantee that your website is fully secure or free of all vulnerabilities.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, LastHash shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the platform. Our total liability to you for any claim arising under these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold LastHash harmless from any claims, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your use of the platform, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights, including scanning websites without authorization.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time if you violate these Terms. You may terminate your account at any time by contacting support or through your account settings. Upon termination, your right to use the platform ceases immediately. Sections on intellectual property, disclaimers, liability, and indemnification survive termination.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved through binding arbitration or in the courts of the jurisdiction where LastHash is incorporated.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated to registered users by email at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use of the platform after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
